Over the past several years, SAPOA has:

  • Maintained traffic circles on The Parkway in conjunction with the Village

  • Hosted a hot-chocolate social to collect funds and non-perishable food for our local food pantry,

  • Hosted “Shore Acres Open Gardens” in June, a self-guided tour of over 20 Shore Acres’ gardens

  • Supported the VOM Committee for the Environment Community Clean Up Days with a neighborhood supply collection point

  • Held a covid-friendly “Ice-Scream” Halloween event with Mr. Softee ice cream truck

  • Held the Spring Social complimentary neighborhood dinner event at the SAPC clubhouse which successfully brought together over 100 of our neighbors,

  • Held the Spring Cleaning/Donations Drive and community gathering, which benefitted The Vietnam Veterans of American, The Larchmont/Mamaroneck Food Pantry and Pet Rescue,

  • Coordinated annual environmentally friendly mosquito control through Green Organics,

  • Worked with neighboring communities to help protect our waterfront through participation in the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) update process,

  • Represented Shore Acres in the active review of various land use proposals and proposed changes in Village regulations,

  • Held the Annual Shore Acres “Howl-o-ween” dog & kids costume parade - co-hosting with SAPC

  • Welcomed new neighbors via a community/neighborhood information packet

  • Provided frequent and important neighborhood and community updates via email.
